Salsali Private Museum
The Salsali Private Museum ''SPM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the first private museum in the region for contemporary Middle Eastern and international art. It was founded in November 2011 by Ramin Salsali and is located in the industrial area of Al Quoz on Alserkal Avenue, a complex known in the region for its high concentration of galleries and creative spaces. Exhibitions at SPM feature artworks from the Salsali's collection and exhibits from across the globe. SPM serves as an independent center for art collectors. Founder Ramin Salsali began collecting art at the age of 21. Born in Tehran in 1964, he studied economics, strategic management, and marketing with a focus on Industry Design in Germany and England. Alserkal Avenue
Alserkal Avenue is an industrial compound hosting warehouses in the industrial zone of Al Quoz, in Dubai. The area is an arts and culture district for Dubai with lineup of galleries, facilities and platforms, such as Alserkal Avenue that houses residencies for local and global artists. In March 2017, Alserkal Avenue inaugurated Concrete (Alserkal Avenue), its new space in the Avenue and the first project to be completed in the United Arab Emirates by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), founded by Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate Rem Koolhaas. Al Quoz ( ar, القوز), or "El Goze" in Emirati Arabic is a locality / town in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Al Quoz is located in western Dubai. It is bordered to the north by Al Wasl and to the west by Umm Al Sheif, Al Manara and Al Safa, forming a long rectangle between Al Khail and Sheikh Zayed roads.
