Salomón Huerta
Salomón Huerta is a painter based in Los Angeles, California. Huerta was born in Tijuana, Mexico, and grew up in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. Huerta received a full scholarship to attend the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and completed his MFA at UCLA in 1998. ''Let Everything Else Burn'' In 2012 Huerta published the artist book ''Let Everything Else Burn'', a collection of short autobiographical texts paired with well-known artworks and archived images concerning his personal history and past. Boyle Heights, historically known as Paredón Blanco, is a neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, located east of the Los Angeles River. It is one of the city's most notable and historic Chicano/Mexican-American communities and is known as a bastion of Chicano culture, hosting cultural landmarks like Mariachi Plaza and events like the annual Día de los Muertos celebrations. Patricia Faure
Patricia Faure (April 8, 1928 – October 21, 2008) was an American art dealer, photographer, and gallery owner, based in Los Angeles. Early life and education Patricia Enk was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the youngest of three daughters. Her father died when she was very young; Patricia moved to California with her mother and sister in 1943. She attended Hollywood High School, and volunteered at the Modern Institute of Art in Beverly Hills as a teenager. As a young woman she lived in New York City for several years, studying at the New School for Social Research and working as a model for Ford Models. Career During her time living in New York, Patricia Enk met and worked with many New York-based artists of the 1950s, including Robert Motherwell, Larry Rivers, Joseph Cornell, Francesco Scavullo.
