Sahar Moghadass (, born 4 December 1985), Mononymous person, known mononymously as Sahar (), is an Iranian singer, musician and dancer. She is known for her contributions to Iranian pop music, Persian pop music. Early life and education Sahar Moghadass was born in Tehran, Iran. Her father was from Tehran, while her mother was from Semnan, Iran, Semnan. Her grandfather is of Bulgarian origins. Sahar developed an interest in music at a precocious age. Her family encouraged her to pursue music and solfège classes with Iranian pop and folk music celebrity Mohammad Nouri (singer), Mohammad Nouri. Sahar obtained a women's concert license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance at the age of 17. Sahar obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tehran. Sex segregation in Iran encompasses practices derived from the conservative dogma of Shiite Islam currently taking place in Iran. Most areas of the country are segregated by sex, except universities. In many cities, there are women parks. Sex segregation prohibits males from viewing females, and age of consent laws do not exist, as all sexual activity outside marriage is illegal. After the Islamic Revolution in 1979 an emphasis on sex segregation of public places was increased. All schools are segregated by sex for students and their teachers.
