Sławomir Sierakowski
Sławomir Witold Sierakowski (; born 4 November 1979) is a Polish journalist, literary critic and sociologist as well as head of Krytyka Polityczna (Political Critique), a movement of left-wing intellectuals, artists and activists based in Poland (with branches in Ukraine, Germany and Russia) and director of Institute for Advanced Study in Warsaw. He studied sociology, philosophy, economics at the College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities, Warsaw University, and worked under the direction of Ulrich Beck at the University of Munich. He was awarded scholarships from the Collegium Invisibile, Ministry of Education (Poland), Ministry of Education, Warsaw, the Goethe Institute and the German Foundation GFPS and DAAD, the U.S. German Marshall Fund, and Open Society Institute. Stanisław Brzozowski (writer)
Stanisław Leopold Brzozowski (28 June 1878 – 30 April 1911) was a Polish philosopher, writer, publicist, literary and theatre critic. Considered to be an important Polish philosopher, Brzozowski is known for his concept of the ''philosophy of labour'', rooted in Marxism. Besides Karl Marx, among his major inspirations were Georges Sorel, Friedrich Nietzsche, Henri Bergson, Thomas Carlyle, and John Henry Newman. Brzozowski's core idea was based on the concept of a socially engaged intellectual (artist). Although he was in favour of historical materialism, he strongly argued against its deterministic interpretation. In his philosophical approaches, Brzozowski rejected all concepts that were commodifying a human being. ''Newsweek Polska'' is a Polish language weekly news magazine published in Poland as the Polish edition of ''Newsweek''. History ''Newsweek Polska'' was established in 2001. Essays
