Sweden Super League
Sweden Super League is a rugby league competition of Sweden. It was founded in 2010 and they played their first season in 2011. The current premiership winner is the Spartacus Reds winning in 2012. History After the Scandinavian Nines Tournament Tournament in April 2010, a domestic league was formed named the Sweden National Rugby League Competition (or SNRLC) comprising three teams in 2011 with Borås Ravens coming up with their first premiership. Their second season introduced the West Coast Masters, now making it four teams in the league, where Spartacus Reds won their first premiership in 2012. Lund
Lund (, , ) is a city in the southern Swedish provinces of Sweden, province of Scania, across the Øresund, Öresund strait from Copenhagen. The town had 91,940 inhabitants out of a municipal total of 121,510 . It is the seat of Lund Municipality, Scania County. The Øresund Region, Öresund Region, which includes Lund, is home to more than 4.1 million people. Archeologists date the foundation of Lund to around 990, when Scania was part of Denmark. From 1103 it was the seat of the Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Lund, and the towering Lund Cathedral, built circa 1090–1145, still stands at the centre of the town. Rugby League In Sweden
The first competitive rugby league in Sweden was the 2nd annual Scandinavian Nines Tournament, hosted by Spartacus Reds in Gothenburg in April 2010. A domestic league was founded in 2011, initially comprising only three small struggling teams - Borås Ravens, Spartacus Reds and Gothenburg Lions. Sweden competed in their first rugby league international on 30 October 2010 when they travelled over the border and drew 20 – 20 against Norway. Centrala IP
Keret House is a structure and art installation in Warsaw, Poland. It was designed by the architect Jakub Szczęsny through the architecture firm Centrala, and has been described as the narrowest house in the world, measuring at its thinnest point and at its widest. The two-story art installation was named after Israeli writer and filmmaker Etgar Keret, who was the building's first tenant. Building The iron structure contains two floors, and has one bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living area. It has two non-opening windows, with sunlight also entering through translucent glass panels that make up the walls. The entire interior is painted white and the building's electricity is obtained from a neighboring building. The house has custom water and sewage technology and is not connected to the city-provided water systems. Spartacus Reds
Spartacus ( el, Σπάρτακος '; la, Spartacus; c. 103–71 BC) was a Thracian gladiator who, along with Crixus, Gannicus, Castus, and Oenomaus, was one of the escaped slave leaders in the Third Servile War, a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Little is known about him beyond the events of the war, and surviving historical accounts are sometimes contradictory. All sources agree that he was a former gladiator and an accomplished military leader. This rebellion, interpreted by some as an example of oppressed people fighting for their freedom against a slave-owning oligarchy, has provided inspiration for many political thinkers, and has been featured in literature, television, and film.
