Sweden In The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011
Sweden has participated at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest eleven times since its inception in . Two broadcasters have been responsible for Sweden's entries at Junior Eurovisionfrom 2003 to 2005, Sveriges Television (SVT) was responsible, before withdrawing with other Nordic broadcasters. From 2006 to 2009, commercial broadcaster TV4 was responsible for Sweden's entry at the Junior Eurovision. TV4 withdrew from the after two entries due to other plans being made during the time of the contest, however they returned to the contest in . On 29 June 2015, it was announced that SVT would withdraw for one year. However, Sweden are yet to return to the contest. MGP Nordic 2006
The 2nd MGP Nordic was held in Stockholm, Sweden in November 2006. This was the first time in four years that MGP Nordic took place after Denmark, Swedish broadcaster SVT, and Norway pulled out of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that same year as a protest against the excess pressure put on the singers. Sweden did, however, compete at Junior Eurovision with different contestants and TV4 as the broadcaster from 2006 to 2009 despite withdrawing in 2008. Organization Following all three countries' withdrawal from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, MGP Nordic was revived after a three-year hiatus but with minor changes. Sweden participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The Swedish entry was selected through Lilla Melodifestivalen 2013 which consisted of eight songs. The final was held on 6 June 2013 at the Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm. Eliias and his song "Det är dit vi ska" was chosen as the winner. Sweden competed in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2010, with Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) having returned to organise the Swedish entry for the first time since 2005, after TV4 had withdrawn prior to the contest. An internal selection was used to select the 7th Swedish entry in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Josefine Ridell being selected to sing "Allt jag vill ha" at the contest in Minsk, Belarus. Mimmi Linnéa Marianne Sandén (born 25 December 1995), also known by the stage name Mimi (stylized in all caps) is a Swedish singer and actress who came to fame by becoming 1st runner up in the television show Talang 2007 ''(Sweden's Got Talent)''. Frida Lina Marianne Sandén (born 20 May 1994) is a Swedish singer who represented Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 where she placed eighth. During 2008 and 2009 Frida has participated with a role in the musical ''Hujeda mej vá många sånger'' alongside her sister Mimmi and Hanna Hedlund amongst others.
