MGP Nordic 2006
The 2nd MGP Nordic was held in Stockholm, Sweden in November 2006. This was the first time in four years that MGP Nordic took place after Denmark, Swedish broadcaster SVT, and Norway pulled out of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that same year as a protest against the excess pressure put on the singers. Sweden did, however, compete at Junior Eurovision with different contestants and TV4 as the broadcaster from 2006 to 2009 despite withdrawing in 2008. Organization Following all three countries' withdrawal from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, MGP Nordic was revived after a three-year hiatus but with minor changes. Jury voting was removed and one song from each country moved on to the super final and were performed again. The overall winner reprised their song at the end while the credits rolled. Therese Merkel
Eva Therese Margaretha Merkel also known as "Tess Merkel" (born 18 April 1970) is a Swedish singer and songwriter who is one of the original members of the pop group Alcazar. Career Merkel was born in Nyköping, Sweden. She started her career in a number of musicals and soon landed the job as a showgirl at Wallmans salonger in 1991. She also did some choirgirl jobs for Melodifestivalen, in Melodifestivalen 1993 she did the choir behind Lena Pålsson, in Melodifestivalen 1997 she choired behind her later bandmate Andreas Lundstedt and in Melodifestivalen 2000 she choired behind Avengers during their performance. Danderyd Municipality
Danderyd Municipality (''Danderyds kommun''; ) is a municipality north of Stockholm in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. It is one of the smallest municipalities of Sweden, but the most affluent. Its seat is located in Djursholm and it is located within Stockholm urban area. The "old" rural municipality Danderyd was split up during the early 20th century, when Djursholm and Stocksund broke away in 1901 and 1910 respectively. Since 1971 Danderyd Municipality is reunified in approximately the old boundaries. The population in 2019 was 32,857. Swedish Language
Swedish ( ) is a North Germanic language spoken predominantly in Sweden and in parts of Finland. Benjamin Daniele Wahlgren Ingrosso (born 14 September 1997) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and record producer. As a child, he appeared in the leading role in several musicals, and in 2006 he won Lilla Melodifestivalen with the song "Hej Sofia". He won the celebrity dancing TV show ''Let's Dance 2014'', and has competed twice in Melodifestivalen in Melodifestivalen 2017, 2017 and Melodifestivalen 2018, 2018 respectively. Norwegian Language
Norwegian ( no, norsk, links=no ) is a North Germanic language spoken mainly in Norway, where it is an official language.
