Super Girls (Japanese Group)
Super Girls, stylized as SUPER☆GiRLS, also known as are an eleven-member Japanese idol group. Formed by Avex Trax in 2010 after various auditions, the current group includes new members. They have released several albums. History Avex held public auditions for members of the new group in June 2010, from which twelve finalists were selected out of 7,000 participants. By February 2010, about 1,000 people advanced to the second round, and a final round was held in June. The results of the audition were subject to controversy because of a lottery system used to select two of the members. Super Girls made their stage debut on 7 August 2010 at the A-Nation event. The first live performance of the 11-member idol group was held at Shiodome-AX in Tokyo, and the group released their first album, , on 22 December 2010. The ''Billboard Japan'' Hot 100 is a record chart in Japan for songs. It has been compiled by ''Billboard Japan'' and '' Hanshin Contents Link'' since February 2008. The chart is updated every Wednesday at Billboard-japan.com ( JST) and every Thursday at Billboard.com ( UTC). The first number-one song on the chart was " Stay Gold" by Hikaru Utada on the issue dated January 16, 2008. The current number-one on the chart as of the issue dated December 21, 2022, is "Subtitle" by Official Hige Dandism. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. It started as, which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter's Oricon record charts in April 2002. The charts are compiled from data drawn from some 39,700 retail outlets (as of April 2011) and provide sales rankings of music CDs, DVDs, electronic games, and other entertainment products based on weekly tabulations.
