Sungai Rengit
Sungai Rengit ( Jawi: سوڠاي رڠيت; zh, 四湾岛) is the town centre of Pengerang, Kota Tinggi District, Johor, Malaysia. Sungai Rengit is essentially a collection of fishing villages and is very popular with seafood lovers. The town usually comes alive during its weekend flea markets. There are also regular Chinese opera performances during temple's celebration which liven up the atmosphere for the local population. There are several Chinese temples in the town like Bao An Gong Temple, Fong San Kong Temple and Datuk Gong Temple. There is a World War 2 -era fortress built into a hill overlooking the coast. It is built by the British and housed a complex tunnel system, including generators, a hospital and living quarters for the soldiers based there. Jawi Alphabet
Jawi (; ace, Jawoë; Kelantan-Pattani: ''Yawi''; ) is a writing system used for writing several languages of Southeast Asia, such as Acehnese, Banjarese, Kerinci, Maguindanaon, Malay, Minangkabau, Tausūg, and Ternate. Jawi is based on the Arabic script, consisting of all of the original 31 Arabic letters, and six additional letters constructed to fit the phonemes native to Malay, and an additional phoneme used in foreign loanwords, but not found in Classical Arabic, which are ''ca'' ( ), ''nga'' ( ), ''pa'' ( ), ''ga'' ( ), ''va'' ( ), and ''nya'' ( ). Jawi was developed from the advent of Islam in the Maritime Southeast Asia, supplanting the earlier Brahmic scripts used during Hindu-Buddhist era. Pengerang
Pengerang ( Jawi: ڤڠرڠ; ) is a municipality in Kota Tinggi District, in the Malaysian state of Johor. It was established in 2017. It is home to the Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC), a major hub for the oil and gas industry in the state. History Pengerang as a place name was first mentioned in Hikayat Abdullah, a 19th-century traditional Malay literature. Pengerang was initially a cluster of villages on the southeastern coast of Johor. Kota Tinggi District is a district in the Malaysian state of Johor. It is the largest district in the state with an area of . The population was 187,824 in 2010. The principal town is Kota Tinggi. Na Tuk Kong
Na Tuk Gong are local guardian spirits worshipped by overseas Chinese communities in Malaysia, Singapore and parts of Indonesia, especially Sumatra. An alternate more generic name for the cult is Datuk Gong, uniting Dato or Datuk from the local Malay word for 'grandfather', which is also used as an honorific title, and ''Kong'' or ''Gong'' from Chinese, also an honorific title. According to Taoist tradition, a Na Tuk Kong's could hold the official title 拿督尊王 (Pinyin:nádū zūnwáng, "Revered/Respectable/Noble King Datuk). Changi Village
Changi Village is a modern village situated at the northern tip of Changi which is at the eastern end of Singapore. It is the usual connecting point for travellers heading to Pulau Ubin or Malaysia by ferry. Fishermen in the kelongs located in the Serangoon Harbour offshore also use this jetty as a drop off point to come onto mainland. Changi Village also has many resorts and leisure facilities to cater for a weekend getaway for many Singaporeans.
