Sung Ching-yang
Sung Ching-yang (; ; born 18 October 1992) is a Taiwanese inline speed skater and long track speed skater who specialises in the sprint distances. In international competitions he competes under the flag of Chinese Taipei. At the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, Sung won two gold medals in roller sports, winning both the 300 metres time trial and the 500 metres sprint. In ice skating Sung participated in the 2013–14 ISU Speed Skating World Cup – Men's 500 metres and 2013–14 ISU Speed Skating World Cup – Men's 1000 metres and has represented Chinese Taipei at the 2014 Winter Olympics in both events in Sochi. In December 2013 he won a bronze medal at the 1000 metres at the 2013 Winter Universiade speed skating. Ice Rink Piné (Italian: ''Stadio del ghiaccio di Piné'') is a speed skating oval and training facility located in , Baselga di Piné, Italy. The facility hosts the Italian national speed skating team, and is one of the venues of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo. History The construction of the ice rink began in 1984 and was completed the following year. The official opening took place in January 1986 during an international ice speed skating competition. The Piné ice rink hosted the speed skating and curling competitions of the XXVI Winter Universiade of Trentino 2013 and the Junior Speed Skating World Championships in February 2019. The Utah Olympic Oval is an indoor speed skating oval located southwest of Salt Lake City, in Kearns, Utah. The Oval was built for the 2002 Winter Olympics and it hosted the long track speed skating events for the 2002 games. Inside the facility the 400 meter skating track surrounds two international sized ice sheets, and is itself surrounded by a 442 meter running track. 2017 Asian Winter Games
The 2017 Asian Winter Games ( ja, 2017アジア冬季競技大会, 2017 Ajia tōkikyōgitaikai) was the 8th edition of the Asian Winter Games. They were hosted in Sapporo and Obihiro in Hokkaido, Japan. These Games were originally scheduled for 2015, however, in the Olympic Council of Asia's general assembly in Singapore on 3 July 2009, the committee decided to move the Games to one year before the Winter Olympics moving forward. The games began on 19 February with the opening ceremony (the curling and hockey events begin the day before) and ended with the closing ceremony on 26 February. Sapporo and Obihiro were named as the host cities on January 31, 2011, as the sole bidding cities. Chinese Taipei competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from the 7 to 23 February 2014. The Chinese Taipei team consisted of three athletes in three sports, including short track speed skating and speed skating for the first time ever.
