Suhasini Raj is a journalist based in India. At Cobrapost she conducted Operation Duryodhana, aired on Aaj Tak news channel in India on 12 December 2005, wherein she bribed eleven members of the Indian Parliament to ask questions in Parliament that were ostensibly meant to be lobbying for small scale industries.. Currently she works with the south Asia bureau of '' The New York Times'' in Delhi. On October 18th, 2018, Suhasini Raj attempted to visit the Sabarimala which is a famous Ayyappa pilgrim centre located in Kerala. It was following the Supreme Court verdict to allow entry of all women to Sabarimala irrespective of age. Cobrapost is a non-profit Indian news website that was founded in 2005 by Aniruddha Bahal – the co-founder of Tehelka. It is particularly known for its undercover investigative journalism. Description According to Kalyani Chadha, Cobrapost led by Aniruddha Bahal consolidated undercover sting-generated news genre in India in 2005. Its secretly recorded conversations with 11 elected members of Indian parliament who were aired by ''Aaj Tak''. Operation Duryodhana
{{unreferenced, date=July 2015 Operation Duryodhana (2005) was the code name of a sting operation, which captured on camera eleven members of Parliament of India accepting money to table questions on the floor of the Parliament. Description This was the first such sting operation in the history of Republic of India, and all the members were expelled from the Parliament. Ten of them belonged to 14th Lok Sabha while one was from Rajya Sabha. The operation was named after the Mahabharata character Duryodhana who is popularly viewed as evil and power-hungry. Sabarimala
The Sabarimala Temple (; ml, ശബരിമല ക്ഷേത്രം) is a temple complex located at Sabarimala hill inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve in the Perinad Village, Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India. It is one of the largest annual pilgrimage sites in the world with an estimate of over 10 to 15 million devotees visiting every year. The temple is dedicated to a Hindu ''Brahmachari'' (Celibate) deity Ayyappan also known as ''Dharma Shasta'', who according to belief is the son of Shiva and Mohini, the feminine incarnation of Vishnu.
