Suez Sporting Club ( ar, نادي منتخب السويس للألعاب الرياضية), also known as Suez Montakhab, is an Egyptian football club based in Suez, Egypt. The club is currently playing in the Egyptian Second Division, the second-highest league in the Egyptian football league system. The 2018–19 Egyptian Second Division was the 39th edition of the Egyptian Second Division, the top Egyptian semi-professional level for football clubs, since its establishment in 1977. Suez ( ar, السويس '; ) is a seaport city (population of about 750,000 ) in north-eastern Egypt, located on the north coast of the Gulf of Suez (a branch of the Red Sea), near the southern terminus of the Suez Canal, having the same boundaries as Suez Governorate.
