Stu Harvey
Stuart "Stu" Harvey is a Melbourne, Australia based radio announcer. Harvey first worked at 979fm in Melton, Victoria, hosting Mondo Bizarro, before teaming up with Nick Kocsis (a.k.a. Nick Mondo) and moving the show to 3RRR. Mondo Bizarro was Australia's longest ever running specialist punk radio show, the show ended in late 2005, after running on various stations constantly for over 14 years. In 2004 he launched the punk/ hardcore program on Triple J short.fast.loud and worked there for ten years. Melbourne
Melbourne ( ; Boonwurrung/Woiwurrung: ''Narrm'' or ''Naarm'') is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Victoria, and the second-most populous city in both Australia and Oceania. ''Inpress'' was a free weekly tabloid-sized music magazine ( street press) that was published in Melbourne, and was released in the Geelong and Mornington Peninsula areas of Victoria, Australia. The magazine was published by Street Press Australia on a weekly basis every Wednesday. The magazine comprised three main sections: All music news, features and reviews fall under the ''Inpress'' banner, arts and film is covered by ''Interval'', and the central section is dance music/ urban music and nightclubbing magazine ''Zebra'', which is also distributed separately from ''Inpress''. The magazine was created by Rowena Webber (later Sladdin) and Andrew Watt, with the first issue was released on 13 July 1988. Webber edited the magazine for the first nine years. Perth
Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. It previously existed as a street press devoted to long-form music journalism and commentary, music news, and artist interviews. 979fm (call sign: 3RIM) is a radio station based in the city of Melton, Victoria and is run by 3RIM Incorporated. The station's broadcast area covers the entire span of western and north western Melbourne, and has been known to stretch as far as Phillip Island in the Gippsland region, about 180 kilometres away from Melton. The organisation was incorporated on 13 September 1985, making it one of the oldest community radio stations in Victoria. The station is manned and operated fully by volunteers from all age groups, backgrounds and ethnicities. From 29 June 1991, to 1 July 2012 3RIM/979fm were based at Mowbray College's Patterson Campus. The College closed after going into voluntary administration in June 2012 leading to 979fm relocating. Triple J (stylised in all lowercase) is a government-funded, national Australian Radio in Australia, radio station intended to appeal to listeners of alternative music, which began broadcasting in January 1975. The station also places a greater emphasis on broadcasting music of Australia, Australian content compared to commercial stations. Triple J is a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
