Stromovka
Stromovka (Royal Game Reserve) is a large park in the Bubeneč district of Prague. It sits on the floodplain of the river Vltava. At present, it spreads over an area of 95 hectares. It was established in the thirteenth century as a game reserve for the nearby summerhouse. At the beginning of the 19th century, it was converted into a park, which later in the 19th and 20th centuries was reduced by the construction of railways, the building of the Academy of Fine Arts and the Planetarium, a ship canal, and last but not least by the construction of the exhibition ground. The park is maintained as an English landscape garden. Planetárium Praha
Prague Planetarium ( cs, Planetárium Praha) is a planetarium located in Bubeneč, Prague, Czech Republic, next to the Stromovka park and Výstaviště Praha. Its dome is one of the largest in the world, measuring 23.5 m in a diameter. It was opened on November 20, 1960. It is equipped with both optomechanical and digital projectors. The optomechanical ''Cosmorama'', installed in 1991, is made by Carl Zeiss AG and it is the last still working device of this type. It is currently placed on moving arms in order to be able to hide and not to shadow a modern digital projection. The digital projection system ''SkySkan Definiti'' installed in 2009 and modernized in 2014 has the highest Display resolution, resolution in Europe, its six Sony SRX T-615 projectors are capable to create an 8K resolution, 8K picture. Bubeneč
Bubeneč is a district in the north-west of Prague. 52% of the district is in Prague 7, but most of the built-up area is in Prague 6. Sparta Prague football club and their stadium Generali Arena is situated at the south-eastern edge of Bubeneč, and the district also covers Stromovka park (Královská obora) and a convention centre Výstaviště. The name Bubeneč is masculine, although Czech grammar rules also allow its use as a feminine. Výstaviště Praha
Výstaviště in Prague is an exhibition ground which is used for exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events, founded in 1891. It is located in Bubeneč near the metro station on Metro line C Nádraží Holešovice. In the immediate area on the west side there is a large park Stromovka and a planetarium, on the eastern Tipsport Arena, home hall of the club HC Sparta Praha. The dominant building on its premises is the Industrial Palace, also found here are the Křižík's Light fountain, Lapidarium of the National Museum, World of the Oceans aquarium, Pyramid Theatre and panorama of the Battle of Lipany by Luděk Marold (the largest image in the Czech Republic). Vltava
Vltava ( , ; german: Moldau ) is the longest river in the Czech Republic, running southeast along the Bohemian Forest and then north across Bohemia, through Český Krumlov, České Budějovice and Prague, and finally merging with the Labe at Mělník. Game Reserve
A game reserve (also known as a wildlife preserve or a game park) is a large area of land where wild animals live safely or are hunted in a controlled way for sport. If hunting is prohibited, a game reserve may be considered a nature reserve; however, the focus of a game reserve is specifically the animals (fauna), whereas a nature reserve is also, if not equally, concerned with all aspects of native biota of the area (flora, plants, animals, fungi, etc.). The Academy of Fine Arts, Prague ( cs, Akademie výtvarných umění v Praze; AVU) is an art college in Prague, Czech Republic. Founded in 1799, it is the oldest art college in the country. The school offers twelve master's degree programs and one doctoral program. History Starting in the early 18th century a series of organizations were formed in Prague with an interest in promoting art and education. Thanks in part to their efforts, the Academy of Fine Arts was founded by Imperial Decree on September 10, 1799. It began with instruction in drawing. Natural Monument
A natural monument is a natural or natural/cultural feature of outstanding or unique value because of its inherent rarity, representative of aesthetic qualities or cultural significance. Under World Commission on Protected Areas guidelines, natural monuments are level III, described as: :"Areas are set aside to protect a specific natural monument, which can be a landform, sea mount, submarine cavern, geological feature such as a cave or even a living feature such as an ancient grove. They are generally quite small protected areas and often have high visitor value." This is a lower level of protection than level II (national parks) and level I (wilderness areas). The cultural monuments of the Czech Republic (Czech: ''kulturní památka'') are protected properties (both real and movable properties) designated by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
