''Strobilops labyrinthicus'', common name the maze pinecone, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Strobilopsidae. Its shell color is reddish brown and it has a height of 1.7-1.8 mm with a diameter of 2.3 mm. Its aperture is semicircular in shape, peristome reflected, brown. Older descriptions refer to it as Strobilops Labyrinthica. Pulmonata or pulmonates, is an informal group (previously an order, and before that a subclass) of snails and slugs characterized by the ability to breathe air, by virtue of having a pallial lung instead of a gill, or gills. The group includes many land and freshwater families, and several marine families. Moose Factory is a community in the Cochrane District, Ontario, Canada. It is located on Moose Factory Island, near the mouth of the Moose River, which is at the southern end of James Bay. It was the first English-speaking settlement in lands now making up Ontario and the second Hudson's Bay Company post to be set up in North America after Fort Rupert.
