Stormforce 10
Stormforce 10 is a ride that recreates the story of a lifeboat rescue, launched in association with the RNLI. The ride is located at Drayton Manor Resort near Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. The height and age restrictions are; 1.3m and 14+ to ride alone. Following the Splash Canyon incident in 2017; more CCTV cameras, a new PA system, increased height and mandatory age restrictions were implemented. There is also a member of staff now permanently placed at the bottom of the second lift hill to ensure riders are following safety rules and not using recording equipment Ride experience The ride begins with the boat being sent into the launch area where a canopy closes behind. An animatronic lifeguard to the left of the boat shines a torch in his eyes and says "Hold on tight now! Here ya go!" as the boat tilts upwards. Royal National Lifeboat Institution
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is the largest charity that saves lives at sea around the coasts of the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man, as well as on some inland waterways. It is one of Independent lifeboats in Britain and Ireland, several lifeboat services operating in the same area. Drayton Manor Resort is a family theme park, zoo and accommodation in the grounds of the former Drayton Manor, in Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire, England, UK. Air Time (rides)
In the context of amusement rides, air time, or airtime, refers to the time during which riders of a roller coaster or other ride experience either frictionless or negative G-forces. The negative g-forces that a rider experiences is what creates the sensation the rider feels of floating out of their seat. With roller coasters, air time is usually achieved when the train travels over a hill at speed. There are different sensations a rider will feel depending on the ride being an ejector or floater airtime ride.
