Stock (album)
''Stock'' is the twelfth studio album by Japanese singer Akina Nakamori, released on March 3, 1988. Unlike her previous albums, it has a rock influence, much like Nakamori's idol, Momoe Yamaguchi's latter albums. The main music producer is Kenji Kitajima from the rock band Fence of Defense. Background In January 1988, inside the single "Al-Mauj" was included an inquiry letter with information about the prototype title of the upcoming studio album, ''Fire Water'', with "Fire Starter" being a candidate for the single release. However, the title was changed to ''Stock'' and "Fire Starter" remained as an album track. Like the previous studio albums, this does not include any promotional singles, and ten completely new songs were recorded. However, the production of songs had started three years before; these were planned to be released as singles. Akina Nakamori
is a Japanese Singing, singer and Actor, actress. She is one of the most popular and best-selling artists in Japan. Akina achieved national recognition after winning the 1981 season of the talent show ''Star Tanjō!''. Her debut single "Slow Motion (Akina Nakamori song), Slow Motion" was released to moderate success, peaking at number thirty on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Nakamori's popularity increased with the release of her follow-up single, "Shōjo A", which peaked at number five on the Oricon charts and sold over 390,000 copies. Tsugutoshi Gotō
is a Japanese songwriter, bassist and music producer. Gotō broke into the Japanese music industry playing bass on tour for artists like Sadistic Mika Band, Bread & Butter and Shiro Kishibe. He went on to write and produce songs for other artists including Kenji Sawada, Miyuki Nakajima, Shizuka Kudō, and various idol singers. In 1980, Gotō won Song of the Year at the Japan Record Award for his work on Kenji Sawada's song "Tokio". In 1983, Gotō married former idol singer and actress Midori Kinouchi. The pair divorced four years later. In 1987, he contributed the soundtrack for the Famicom/NES version of the video game Ultima III: Exodus. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. It started as, which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter's Oricon record charts in April 2002. The charts are compiled from data drawn from some 39,700 retail outlets (as of April 2011) and provide sales rankings of music CDs, DVDs, electronic games, and other entertainment products based on weekly tabulations. Shinji Harada
Shinji Harada (Harada Shinji、原田真二) is a famous pop music artist in Japan, born in Hiroshima, on December 5, 1958. After three years of practicing guitar, at the age of fifteen he was ready to play guitar with the band ''Yamaha''. Harada became a musical sensation in Japan when he released his debut single ''Teens' Blues'' on October 25, 1977 when he was 18 years old. He released two more singles, ''Candy'' in November and ''Shadow Boxer'' in December same year. All three singles ranked within the top 20 in the Oricon chart simultaneously, which had never happened before. Akira Inoue (musician)
(born 8 September 1953), is a Japanese keyboard player, composer and producer. He was the recipient of the 23rd Japan Record Awards arranger award. History Inoue was born in Tokyo. His father was the pioneering Japanese cello player Yoritoro Inoue (井上頼豊). In the late 1970s, he played in the fusion group PARACHUTE. He released his first of many solo albums in the early 1980s. He has also composed, arranged, and performed music for several films and OVAs, including SF Shinseiki Lensman, Lily C.A.T., and the Japan/West Germany 1984 film Windy Story. In the 1990s, he played in The Voice Project and on projects with Masako Kawamura. is a Japanese J-pop songwriter and guitarist. Biography Born in Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, Suzuki studied at the South Hirosaki High School. Aska, (born on February 24, 1958 in Ono, Onojō, Fukuoka) is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Aska is best known for work as part of the music duo Chage and Aska. As a composer, he wrote most of the duo's hit songs, including "Morning Moon", "Love Song", " Say Yes", and "Meguriai". He has also written for many other singers and groups, including Hikaru Genji. He began a solo career in 1987, and was highly successful in the early 1990s. His most well-known song as a solo singer is "Hajimari wa Itsumo Ame" (The Start Is Always Rain), which was a single from his second solo album.
