Rintaro Okabe
is a fictional character in the ''Science Adventure'' series, first appearing as the player character of 5pb. and Nitroplus's visual novel game ''Steins;Gate'' (2009). Okabe is a self-proclaimed mad scientist who often goes by the pseudonym . He is also nicknamed Okarin by his friend Shiina Mayuri. He is the founder of what he calls the "Future Gadget Laboratory" in Akihabara, where he spends most of his time and has dubbed himself Lab Member No. 001. As he experiments with time travel, he learns that he is the only one who possesses the ability to determine changes between different timelines, which he dubs "Reading Steiner". is a Japanese manga series created by Yomi Sarachi. It is based on 5pb. and Nitroplus' video game of the same name, and is part of the ''Science Adventure'' franchise. It was serialized by Media Factory in ''Monthly Comic Alive'' from September 2009 to July 2013, and was later released as three collected volumes; these were published by Udon Entertainment in North America in 2015 and 2016, and re-release in 2022 as one volume as:"Steins;Gate: The Complete Manga". The story follows Rintaro Okabe, who together with his friends use a microwave oven and a cell phone to send text messages back in time, altering the present. An enhanced version titled ''Chaos;Head Noah'' was released for Xbox 360 in 2009, and has since been ported to multiple platforms. Chiyomaru Shikura
is a Japanese video game writer, lyricist and composer. He is the executive producer and former chairman of Mages. He planned and wrote the 2008 visual novel ''Chaos;Head'', and subsequently other works in the ''Science Adventure'' series including ''Steins;Gate''. He has also been credited with composing the opening and ending songs of the ''Science Adventure'' series. Career In the early 2000s, he collaborated with Yūko Miyamura and composed music for the band ''loose@rouse''. In April 2005, he founded ''5pb. Inc.'' after leaving his director position at Scitron, a record label company. He later became the chairman of Mages with the merging of his company with AG-ONE.
