Starhotels is a privately owned hotel chain based in Florence that operates 30 luxury hotels (24 in Italy, three in London, and one each in Paris and New York City). The hotels strive to have a "made in Italy" feel and most of the hotels are four-star hotels with The Michelangelo (formerly the Hotel Taft) in New York City and Castille Paris being five star hotels. Splendid Venice
The Splendid Venice is a 4-star hotel in Venice, Italy, located between St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge. The hotel is owned by the Starhotels group and has 165 rooms (including 16 suites). The hotel has a private dock on the canals for access by gondola or water taxi. History The hotel was built in the 16th century and was first built for use as an Inn, known as "Locanda Cappello Nero". The Taft Hotel building is a 22-story pre-war Spanish Renaissance structure that occupies the eastern side of Seventh Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets, just north of Times Square, in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. In its modern configuration, it features two separate portions with their own entrance on 51st Street. The larger portion is devoted to the residential condominium called Executive Plaza, with each of its 440 units being privately owned. Certain units are rented by their owners to the public. Savoia Excelsior Palace
The Savoia Excelsior Palace is a 4 star hotel in Trieste, Italy owned by the Starhotels group. The hotel is located close to Piazza Unità d'Italia overlooking the Gulf of Trieste and has 142 rooms (including suites and apartments).
