Springs of Life (春到人间) is a Singaporean Chinese drama which aired in 2002. It was produced following the success of ''Wok of Life''. Unusual for a locally produced period drama at that time, the theme song's introduction is in a rock and roll style. Synopsis The story begins in the 1950s and spans about three decades. A young entrepreneur Dapao is on a quest to learn the secret of a special medicinal oil in hopes of striking the jackpot. Meanwhile, a pair of singing sisters try to make their way in showbiz. A historical drama (also period drama, costume drama, and period piece) is a work set in a past time period, usually used in the context of film and television. Cheng Pei-pei
Cheng Pei-pei (born 6 January 1946) is a Chinese actress, who is considered cinema's first female action hero. She is known for her performance in the 1966 King Hu ''wuxia'' film ''Come Drink with Me'', as well as her portrayal of Jade Fox in the award-winning 2000 ''wuxia'' film ''Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon''. Career Cheng moved to Hong Kong in 1962. In 1963, she began training at Shaw Brothers Studio through a recommendation by a family friend. Due to her Mandarin and dance background, she quickly worked her way up. And in 1964, she made her feature film debut as Liu Qiuzi in the 1964 Taiwanese drama film ''Lovers' Rock''. ''Star Awards 2003'' was an awards ceremony part of the annual Star Awards held by MediaCorp Channel 8 on 7 December 2003. The tenth installment of ''Star Awards'' were hosted by Timothy Chao for the sixth consecutive ceremony, along with current affairs hostess and nominee for the Best News and Current Affairs Presenter Chun Guek Lay. The ceremony gave away 27 awards, six of which were awarded in the Backstage Ceremony and the rest on the main ceremony. The Backstage Ceremony does not have presenters giving out the awards. The Little Nyonya
''The Little Nyonya'' ( zh, c= ) is a 2008 drama serial on Singapore's free-to-air MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It stars Jeanette Aw, Qi Yuwu, Dai Xiangyu, Lin Meijiao, Pan Lingling, Cynthia Koh, Pierre Png, Joanne Peh, Desmond Sim, Eelyn Kok, Andie Chen, Ng Hui and Xiang Yun as the casts of the series. The storyline, which circles around the biographical flashback of an extended Peranakan family in Malacca, is set in the 1930s and spans to over 70 years and several generations of three families. ''Joys of Life'' () is a Singaporean Chinese drama which was telecasted on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp Channel 8. Brandon Wong (; born 16 September 1971) is a Malaysian born Singaporean actor. He was born in Malaysia. He is able to speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Cantonese. Cavin Soh
Cavin Soh (, born 17 November 1970) (苏智诚/苏志诚 Su Zhi Cheng previous name) is a Singaporean actor, host, watch dealer and singer. Career Soh used to be a lead singer in the band Dreamz FM (梦飞船) and a radio deejay on MediaCorp's Chinese language station Y.E.S. 93.3FM before switching to television and acting. In 2005, he won the Best Supporting Actor award for his portrayal of Zhou Daqiu, the antagonist, in ''Portrait of Home''.
