Spring Valley State Park
Spring Valley State Park is a public recreation area adjoining the Eagle Valley Reservoir in eastern Nevada near the border with the state of Utah. The state park is located at the east end of Nevada State Route 322, east of the town of Pioche, Nevada, Pioche and near the village of Ursine, Nevada, Ursine. History The Eagle Valley Dam was built in 1965, creating the Eagle Valley Reservoir for agricultural usage. The area around the reservoir was designated a state park in 1969. Activities and amenities The park offers camping, fishing, a boat launch, picnicking, hiking trails, historic ranch buildings, and a group-use area. State Route 322 (SR 322) is a state highway in Lincoln County, Nevada. From State Route 321 in Pioche, State Route 322 passes by U.S. Route 93 and heads to the entrance of Spring Valley State Park via the community of Ursine. The route was previously known as State Route 85. Route description The route begins with an intersection with State Route 321. SR 322 heads northward through town as Main Street. Upon intersecting U.S. Route 93, the route becomes Eagle Valley Road, heading eastward. SR 322 then turns northward, passing briefly through the town of Ursine before meeting its terminus at Spring Valley State Park. History The route was the second highway in the state to be known as State Route 85, established in the 1970s. Pioche is an unincorporated town in Lincoln County, Nevada, United States, approximately northeast of Las Vegas. U.S. Route 93 is the main route to Pioche and bypasses the town center just to the east, with Nevada State Route 321 and Nevada State Route 322 providing direct access.
