Spoutible
Spoutible is a social media and social networking service created by Christopher Bouzy, the founder of the Twitter analytics service Bot Sentinel. It launched in February 2023. History In November 2022, after Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter, Bouzy proposed the creation of a social media platform similar to Twitter, but with improvements to what he called its best features "while fixing everything wrong with Twitter", pledging to follow through with the proposal if 100,000 people joined a pre-registration mailing list. Bouzy used Twitter to crowdsource details about the platform, including its name. Bouzy initially chose the name "Spout" in reference to the old Twitter error graphic of a whale being carried off by a flock of birds; he said that he chose "Spoutible" instead after the owner of the spout.com domain demanded $1.5 million. Bot Sentinel is a Twitter analytics service founded in 2018 by Christopher Bouzy. It tracks disinformation, inauthentic behavior and targeted harassment on Twitter. History According to his LinkedIn page, Christopher Bouzy started out as a computer service technician, and founded several firms prior to setting up Bot Sentinel, including Egisca Corporation, the parent company of the dating website IfSolo.com. In the 2000s, Bouzy developed the encryption software Cloak, which Avanquest, Avanquest Software acquired in 2006. Bouzy then developed Nexus Radio, a free platform for recording and playing back radio streams, which was later acquired by an investment group. Around 2016, Bouzy started teaching himself about machine learning algorithms. He grew up in Brownsville, Brooklyn, in what he described as a lower-middle-class upbringing, with his mother, a single parent. His mother was a Black immigrant from Panama, and worked for the New York Telephone Company. Bouzy and his mother shared a residence with his grandmother, two aunts and two cousins. Transphobia is a collection of ideas and phenomena that encompass a range of negative attitudes, feelings, or actions towards transgender people or transness in general. A transgender (often abbreviated as trans) person is someone whose gender identity or gender expression does not correspond with their sex assigned at birth. Twitter verification is a system intended to communicate the authenticity of a Twitter account. When introduced in June 2009, the system provided the site's readers with a means to distinguish genuine notable account holders, such as celebrities and organizations, from impostors or parodies. Until November 2022, a blue checkmark (UK: blue tick) displayed against an account name indicated that Twitter had taken steps to ensure that the account was actually owned by the person or organization whom it claimed to represent. Disinformation
Disinformation is false information deliberately spread to deceive people. It is sometimes confused with misinformation, which is false information but is not deliberate. The English word ''disinformation'' comes from the application of the Latin prefix ''dis-'' to ''information'' making the meaning "reversal or removal of information".
