Sparta Lwów
Lwowski Klub Sportowy Sparta Lwów () was a football club based in Lwów, Lwów Voivodeship, Second Polish Republic (presently Lviv, Ukraine). History There were formed in 1910, probably by the Polish soldiers of the 6th Air Regiment stationed in Skniłów (presently Sknyliv, Ukraine). Sparta was a participant of the first Polish Cup edition in 1926, in the final game they were defeated 1–2 at Wisła Kraków. The president of Sparta in 1914, Orest Dzułyński, was later the first secretary of the Polish Football Association. Sparta was disbanded at the start of World War II in September 1939, after the Soviets invaded eastern Poland. Ground Sparta did not have their own pitch, playing at various Lwów venues. Spartiate
A Spartiate (, ''Spartiátēs'') or ''Homoios'' (pl. ''Homoioi'', , "alike") was an elite full-citizen men of the ancient Greek city-state of Sparta. Spartiate-class men (including boys) were a small minority: estimates are that they made up between 1/10 and 1/32 of the population, with the proportion decreasing over time; the vast majority of the people of Sparta were helots (slaves). Spartan citizenship was restricted to adult men without metic ancestry, as in most Greek poleis. Spartiate-class women could not hold citizenship but were eligible to marry Spartiates, and their sons could become Spartiates. After the First Messenian War, the mass enslavement of the Messenian population created a slave society (60-79% slaves; by contrast, US slave states generally had 30-65%). Lechia Lwów (full name: ''Lwowski Klub Sportowy "Lechia" Lwów'') was the first former Poland, Polish professional association football club, founded in summer 1903 in Lwów by students of the 3rd and 4th gymnasiums as well as former members of the Sokół movement, Sokół football department. During the Second Polish Republic, Second Republic of Poland the club was one of four teams from Lwów that played in the Football in Poland, Polish Football First league (season 1931 – 12th). The club became two times champion of Lwów District League (liga okręgowa) where it spent 17 seasons. After invasion of Poland by the Soviet forces in 1939 the club was dissolved and its place was formed FC Lokomotyv Lviv. The club's name comes from Lechia, the original name for Poland. Czarni Lwów
Czarni Lwów was one of the first Polish professional sports clubs with a well-developed football section as well as ice hockey, among several other sports. The football club was started in the late 19th century in Lwów as a school football section called Sława Lwów. In 1903 the name was changed and the club became professional.
