Dunbar–Southlands
Dunbar–Southlands is a neighbourhood on the western side of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, that stretches north from the Fraser River and covers most of the land between the mouth of the Fraser and English Bay. This neighbourhood consists of many commercial and residential areas that mostly consists of single-family dwellings. It also contains parts of the Mackenzie Heights enclave, and is the home territory of the Musqueam Indian Band. History Archaeological findings shows that native First Nations have inhabited the area was early as 400 B.C. The Fraser provided large amounts of hunting and fishing areas for Salish Indians who settled at three locations. As recently as 15000 years ago, it was buried under a sheet of glacial ice. ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill, New Zealand is a multi-purpose venue, capable of conducting a wide range of events from large scale concerts to sporting events and exhibitions. Incorporating the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome, the stadium complex has hosted a range of national and international events – sporting, recreational, cultural, arts, corporate and even equestrian. The original stadium was completed in May 2000 but in September 2010, a heavy snowfall caused the main stadium roof to collapse, causing substantial structural damage to the complex. A replacement stadium opened in February 2014 with a capacity of 4019, and retractable seating. The Southland was an American rock band from Los Angeles. They featured Jed Whedon on keyboards and vocals, Ethan Phillips on bass guitar, Andy Crosby on drums, Nick Gusikoff on guitar, and Danny Chaimson on keyboards. The Southland's debut album, ''Influence of Geography'', was released in June 2005. ''Southlander'' (also known as ''Southlander: Diary of a Desperate Musician'') is a 2001 American independent film by Steve Hanft and Ross Harris. Originally titled '' Recycler'', after the Los Angeles magazine of the same name, the film writers changed the name of the movie to ''Southlander'' to avoid trademark issues. Plot Down-and-out keyboardist Chance (Rory Cochrane) sees his redemption in touring with dub-pop band Future Pigeon, fronted by the lovely Rocket ( Beth Orton). Southland Casino Racing (formerly Southland Greyhound Park and Southland Park Gaming and Racing) is a casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. Simulcast thoroughbred horse races from other tracks around the United States are also offered, along with greyhound racing from West Virginia. The venue has been expanded through the years, and with the decline in greyhound racing, shifted from being solely a racing track to becoming a full-fledged casino, finally expanding to such in April 2019 after a constitutional amendment allowed it to do so, becoming the closest casino to Memphis, Tennessee across the Mississippi River. Southland Mall, originally known as Cutler Ridge Mall, is a shopping mall in Cutler Bay (formerly Cutler Ridge), Florida. It opened in 1978 as an extension of the Cutler Ridge Shopping Center, which itself was opened in 1960 (shortly after its "grand reopening", Cutler Ridge Mall moniker was subsequently applied to the entire shopping center complex).
