South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Synagogue
The South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Synagogue is located on Lake Street in the hamlet of South Fallsburg, New York, United States. Built in 1902, it underwent a major expansion in 1919 that included being raised a story. It is one of the oldest synagogues in Sullivan County, and has played a central role the region's Jewish community, with some notable Jews having been members of the congregation. It is a strictly Orthodox congregation, but welcomes all Jews regardless of their level of observance. After the decline of the area's signature hotel industry with the growth of cluster communities with homes suitable for use year round the synagogue has become the focal point for the town's Jewish religious and cultural activities. The congregation no longer employs a rabbi but has many talented and learned members, some of whom are ordained Orthodox rabbis, who take leading roles and volunteer their time to lead services and related educational programs. Bamboo
Bamboos are a diverse group of evergreen perennial flowering plants making up the subfamily Bambusoideae of the grass family Poaceae. Giant bamboos are the largest members of the grass family. Backlighting (lighting Design)
In lighting design, backlighting is the process of illuminating the subject from the back. In other words, the lighting instrument and the viewer face each other, with the subject in between. This creates a glowing effect on the edges of the subject, while other areas are darker. The backlight can be a natural or artificial source of light. When artificial, the back light is usually placed directly behind the subject in a 4-point lighting setup.
