The Solaire Open was a golf tournament on the Asian Tour. It was first played in 2013 at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club (East course) in Manila, Philippines. Wack Wack Golf And Country Club
Wack Wack Golf and Country Club is a golf course and country club resort complex located in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines. The complex features two 18-hole championship courses, landscaped terrains, gardens and villas. History Wack Wack was founded by William James Shaw in 1930 – because he was disgusted that Larry Montes, a caddie who had won the 1929 Philippine Open tournament (and later many subsequent tournaments) at the Manila Golf Club in Caloocan, of which Shaw was a member, had been asked to leave the tournament celebration, by virtue of an alleged rule against the presence of caddies inside the Manila Golf Club. Asian Tour
The Asian Tour is the principal men's professional golf tour in Asia except for Japan, which has its own Japan Golf Tour, which is also a full member of the International Federation of PGA Tours. Official money events on the tour count for World Golf Ranking points. The Asian Tour is administered from Singapore. It is controlled by a board with a majority of professional golfers, and a Tournament Players Committee of its player members, supported by an executive team. Stroke play, also known as medal play, is a scoring system in the sport of golf in which the total number of strokes is counted over one or more rounds of 18 holes. In stroke play, the winner is the player who has taken the fewest strokes over the course of the round, or rounds. Chawalit Plaphol
Chawalit Plaphol (born 30 August 1974) is a Thai golfer. He took up golf at the age of twelve and won team and individual gold medals for Thailand at the 1995 South East Asian Games. He turned professional in 1996 and has been a regular competitor on the Asian Tour since that year. Lin Wen-tang
Lin Wen-tang (, born 28 June 1974) is a Taiwanese professional golfer. He comes from a golfing family, with his father and uncle both being professionals and two brothers who played with him on the Asian Tour. Lin turned professional in 1996, and won for the first time as at the 1998 Hsin Fong Open, a non-tour event in his home country. He has played on the Asian Tour since 1998 and has won four titles, his first coming in 2006 at the Taiwan Open.
