Softengine - Something Better Presentation (English)
Softengine is a Finnish alternative rock band that represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, with their song " Something Better". They released their debut album ''We Created the World'' in October 2014. The band's members were born between 1994 and 1997. The first of two parts of their second studio album was released as an EP on 4 December 2015 entitled ''From Earth, From Ashes, From Dust''. It includes the release of the singles "All About You & I" and "Big Fat Bass Drums". Seinäjoki
Seinäjoki (; "Wall River"; la, Wegelia, formerly sv, Östermyra) is a city located in South Ostrobothnia, Finland; east of Vaasa, north of Tampere, west of Jyväskylä and southwest of Oulu. Seinäjoki originated around the Östermyra bruk iron and gunpowder factories founded in 1798. Seinäjoki became a municipality in 1868, market town in 1931 and town in 1960. Spain participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Dancing in the Rain" written by Ruth Lorenzo, Jim Irvin and Julian Emery. The song was performed by Ruth Lorenzo. "Aina mun pitää" (; en, I always have to) is a song by Finnish punk rock band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. The song won Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2015 and represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Background and release On 7 January 2015, it was leaked through Spotify that Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät would compete in '' Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2015'' with the song "Aina mun pitää", along with the seventeen other competing artists. The official music video was presented on 13 January on both the band's Vevo account and UMK's YouTube channel, and then, the next day, it was released on iTunes. Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät (; ; PKN) were a Finnish punk rock band, formed in 2009 in a charity workshop for adults with developmental disabilities. They are the main focus of the 2012 Finnish documentary film '' The Punk Syndrome''. In 2015, they qualified for the finals of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, which they later won; they represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 but got knocked out in the semi-final. The group disbanded in December 2016 when guitarist Pertti Kurikka turned 60 years old and retired from playing punk rock. Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Marry Me" written by Krista Siegfrids, Erik Nyholm, Kristofer Karlsson and Jessika Lundström. Kristin "Krista" Siegfrids (born 4 December 1985) is a Finnish pop singer. She represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with her entry " Marry Me". Siegfrids' debut album, named '' Ding Dong!'', was released in May 2013. As a television presenter, she hosted ''Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu'' from 2016 to 2020. Early life Siegfrids was born into the Swedish-speaking minority in Kaskinen in western Finland. Her mother tongue is Swedish, though Siegfrids also speaks fluent Finnish and English. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company.
