Hiroshi Soejima
is a former Japanese football player and manager. He played for Japan national team. Club career Soejima was born in Saga on July 26, 1959. After graduating from high school, he joined Yanmar Diesel in 1978. After reserve team in 2 season, he was promoted top team in 1980. In 1980, the club won the champions in Japan Soccer League and he was selected Best Eleven. The club also won 1983 and 1984 Emperor's Cup. In 1991, he moved to Division 2 club Sumitomo Metal and played in 1 season. He retired in 1992. National team career On June 9, 1980, Soejima debuted for Japan national team against Hong Kong. He played 3 games for Japan in 1980. Coaching career After retirement, Soejima started coaching career at Kashima Antlers (former ''Sumitomo Metal'') in 1992. He moved to Gamba Osaka in 1996. Kameli Soejima (副島 亀里, ''Soejima Kameli'', born June 1, 1983) is a Fijian born Japanese rugby union player. He represents Japan in rugby sevens and made his debut at the 2014 Dubai Sevens. He is Japan's top try-scorer in the 2015–16 World Rugby Sevens Series, and was also one of their top try-scorers last season. Masazumi Soejima
(born 1970) is a Paralympian wheelchair racing athlete from Japan competing mainly in category T54 long-distance events. Masazumi was the men's wheelchair winner of the 2011 New York Marathon and the 2011 Boston Marathon. He has competed in the marathon in both the 2004 and 2008 Summer Paralympics, 10000m in 2004, 5000m and 1500m in 2008 but it was as part of the Japanese 4 × 400 m relay in 2004 that he won his only medal, a bronze. is a Japanese video game artist, best known for his work in the ''Persona'' series of role-playing video games by Atlus. Inspired in his work as an artist from an early age, he initially worked in minor roles on several games after joining Atlus. His first major work as an artist was on the strategy role-playing game '' Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity'' (2004). Count was a diplomat and statesman during early Meiji period Japan. Life and career Soejima was born into a ''samurai'' family in Saga, in Hizen Province (present-day Saga Prefecture). His father was a teacher in the domain's school and a scholar of National Learning (''kokugaku''). In 1866, Soejima was sent to Nagasaki by the domain leaders to study the English language. There he studied under Guido Verbeck, a Dutch missionary, giving special attention to the United States Constitution and the New Testament. During the Boshin War he was a military leader of the Saga forces committed to the overthrow of the Tokugawa bakufu. After the Meiji Restoration, Soejima became a junior councilor ''(san'yo)'' and assisted Fukuoka Takachika in drafting the structure of the provisional Meiji government in 1868.
