The French Operations Research & Decision Support Society (in French: Société française de Recherche Opérationnelle et d’Aide à la Décision - ROADEF) is a professional non-profit society that aims to promote the scientific field of Operations Research (OR) and Decision Support (DS) in France. The society is a member of the European umbrella organization, the Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO), and of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS). The International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS) is an umbrella organization for national operations research societies of over 45 countries from four geographical regions: Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, and South America. The organization was officially founded in 1959 by three organizations: ORSA (United States), ORS (United Kingdom ), and SOFRO (France), although the first IFORS conference was held in Oxford in 1957.
