Snooker At The 1988 Summer Paralympics
Snooker at the 1988 Summer Paralympics consisted of a men's open event. It was held at the Chung-Nip Polio Centre, Seoul. There were twelve competitors, from six countries: three each from Great Britain and South Korea two each from Australia and Denmark, and one each from Egypt and the Republic of Ireland. Mike Langley won the gold medal. Snooker has not been included in the Paralympic Games since 1988. Mike Langley
Michael Langley (died 14 July 2018) was a British snooker player. He won the gold medal at the 1988 Paralympics, making him the last person to win a Paralympic snooker gold medal. He also won a bronze medal in the paraplegic snooker event at the 1984 Summer Paralympics. Snooker at the 1984 Summer Paralympics consisted of two men's events. The competitions were held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium between 22 July and 1 August 1984. The 1988 Summer Paralympics () were the first Paralympics in 24 years to take place in the same city as the Olympic Games. They took place in Seoul, South Korea.
