Smouha Sporting Club ( ar, سموحة ٨٢), commonly known simply as Smouha, is an Egyptian professional basketball club from Alexandria. The club competes in the Egyptian Super League, the highest national level. In the 2018–19 season, Smouha made its debut in the FIBA Africa Basketball League. Egyptian Basketball Super League
The Egyptian Basketball Super League, also known as the Egyptian Basketball Premier League A, is the top professional basketball division of the Egyptian basketball league system. Administrated by the Egyptian Basketball Federation (EBBFED), it is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Egyptian Basketball Premier League B and replaced by the top two teams in that division. The FIBA Africa Basketball League (formerly named the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup) was the highest caliber men's professional basketball competition for clubs until 2020, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries. The 2019 FIBA Africa Basketball League was the 33nd edition of FIBA Africa's premier club Basketball tournament and the 1st under the new format and new name. The season saw an expansion from twelve to sixteen teams. The season began on February 8, 2019, and ended on May 26, 2019, with the conclusion of the Final Four. The Final Four was hosted at the Kilamba Arena in Luanda, Angola. The 2018–19 Egyptian Basketball Super League was the 45th season of the Egyptian Basketball Super League. It started on 29 October 2018 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 4 May 2019 with the finals. The champions qualified for the 2020 Basketball Africa League (BAL). The 2020–21 Egyptian Basketball Super League was the 47th season of the Egyptian Basketball Super League. The champions qualify for the 2022 Basketball Africa League (BAL) season.
