The Blind Shake
The Blind Shake are an American punk rock band formed in Minneapolis by brothers Jim (vocals/guitar) and Mike Blaha (vocals/guitar), with Dave Roper on drums. They have released four albums and featured as a backing band for a number of artists, including John Reis and Michael Yonkers. Biography The brothers developed an interest in music at an early age, when they were "in Third and Fourth grade, we had a twenty dollar Sears catalogue acoustic". Both began to study guitar with Mike receiving lessons while Jim abandoned the instrument until he was 23. Roper and Mike Blaha had played together in bands during their college years. Inspired by the simple approach of the punk rock, the two began playing together where Mike would use a baritone guitar. In 2004 they released a self-titled single. Reigning Sound was an American rock and roll band originally based in Memphis, Tennessee, United States As of 2019, along with fronting Reigning Sound, Cartwright also reformed his past band Greg Oblivian and the Tip Tops. In 2020, he also reformed with the original "Memphis lineup" of Reigning Sound is once again playing shows with the outfit's first incarnation. Nobunny
Nobunny was the stage persona of musician Justin Champlin, performing under the moniker since 2001. His debut LP, ''Love Visions'', was home recorded and released in 2008 on Bubbledumb Records to positive reviews. It was re-released with 1-2-3-4 Go! Records in 2009 along with a second album, ''Raw Romance'', released by Burger Records. His second official LP, "First Blood", was released by Goner Records in September 2010. His last LP, Secret Songs, was released on Goner Records towards the end of 2013. Biography While on stage, Nobunny dresses (and undresses) in a bunny mask that is often accompanied by other odd stage-attire choices, such as raw meat, weaves, ball gags, firecrackers, panties, knee pads and coats made of trash. Greg Cartwright
Greg Cartwright, also known by his stage name Greg Oblivian (born March 18, 1972), is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Memphis, Tennessee. From 2001 to 2022 he fronted Reigning Sound which was signed to Merge Records. After moving away from Memphis in the mid-2000s, he has since lived with his family in Asheville, North Carolina. Cartwright is also a founding member of the Memphis '90s garage bands The Compulsive Gamblers, The Oblivians and Greg Oblivian & the Tip Tops. , Cartwright has reformed his past band Greg Oblivian & the Tip Tops and is playing shows. Black Lips
Black Lips is an American garage rock band from Atlanta, Georgia formed in 1999. History The band formed in Dunwoody, Georgia after guitarist Cole Alexander and bassist Jared Swilley left the Renegades, and guitarist Ben Eberbaugh left the Reruns. Alexander and Swilley were known for their crude antics both during shows and at school. They were kicked out of school during their senior year after the Columbine Massacre in 1999 because they were regarded as a "subculture danger." The Spits are an American punk rock band formed in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1993. They later moved to Seattle. Currently, the band has released six albums.
