Crypt Records
Crypt Records is an independent record label founded by American-born Tim Warren in 1983. The label has been headquartered variously in Hamburg, Germany and in several locations in the United States. Crypt is perhaps best known for issuing the ten-volume '' Back From The Grave Series'' of 1960s garage punk compilations, although its other reissues and releases include surf, rockabilly, punk rock, exotica, garage punk, original rhythm and blues, and soul music. New Bomb Turks
The New Bomb Turks are an American punk rock band formed at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, United States, in 1990. The founding members are Jim Weber, Eric Davidson, Bill Randt, and Matt Reber. Sam Brown replaced Bill Randt on drums in 1999. Early on their inspiration came from the Devil Dogs, Lazy Cowgirls, Union Carbide Productions, Didjits, and the Fluid. Music magazine ''Alternative Press'' has described their musical style, saying, "Not only have both prole-threat punk bashery and destructo-rock found fresh voices, they've been melded into a seamless new terror all its own." The Grave Diggers
The Grave Diggers were an American rockabilly, surf, jazz, punk band. They are notable due to their eclectic musical style, their early foreshadowing of subsequent music revival movements, and the musical careers of their members. The band was established in Southern California in early 1983 by friends and classmates Jason Goodman (vocals/guitar), Wally Hersom (upright bass), Michael "Mick" McCarthy (guitar) and Quinn Millard (drums). In 1985, they released the self-recorded four-song EP "Monsters At Play" on Bobbette Records. The Gories
The Gories are an American garage rock trio that formed in Detroit, Michigan, United States, in 1986. They were among the first 1980s garage rock bands to incorporate overt blues influences. The band features Mick Collins (of The Dirtbombs), Dan Kroha (later of the now defunct The Demolition Doll Rods) on guitar and vocals, and Peggy O'Neill on drums. The band originally broke up in 1992 after a European tour, reforming in July 2009 for a reunion tour across Europe, along with co-headliners The Oblivians. Fireworks (band)
Fireworks was an American garage rock band from Denton, Texas. Fireworks was founded by Darin Lin Wood, a former member of the bands Cop Shoot Cop, '68 Comeback, and The Blacksnakes. In 1993, he founded Fireworks with Chris Merlick. Merlick was an itinerant member, leaving the group and returning several times; its other members included drummer Janet Walker and guitarist James Arthur. They released an album on Crypt Records in 1994 and a sophomore effort on Au Go Go Records in 1996. Following this, Wood and Walker worked on a side band with Mick Collins of The Gories called Blacktop; this project released ''I Got a Bad Feelin' About This'' in 1995 on In The Red. The Devil Dogs
The Devil Dogs were an American, New York-based garage punk band, started in 1989 by Andy Gortler (guitars), Steve Baise (bass) and Paul Corio (drums). Two members of the Devil Dogs (Gortler and Baise) had been members of the Rat Bastards when that band dissolved during the recording of an album; they regrouped as The Devil Dogs and continued recording.The Devil Dogsat AllMusic Drummer Mighty Joe Vincent joined the group in 1991. Country Teasers were an art punk band formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1993. Frontman Ben Wallers also performs solo as The Rebel. He plays live shows with a Gameboy backing-track or accompanied by Country Teasers bassist Sophie Politowicz on drums. Long-time members of Country Teasers include songwriter B.R. Cheater Slicks
Cheater Slicks is a three-man garage punk band formed in Boston in 1987. The members are Tom Shannon (guitar, vocals), Dave Shannon (guitar), and Dana Hatch (drums, vocals). They toured with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in 1995. Cheater Slicksat Allmusic In their early days they experimented with a couple of different singers and periods as an instrumental band before Tom and Dana assumed vocal duties.
