Skylark Football Club ( bn, স্কাইর্লাক ফুটবল ক্লাব) is an association football club from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club currently plays in Dhaka Third Division Football League, the fifth-tier in the Bangladeshi football league system. History Skylark Football Club was established on 9 February 2021, through the re-organisation of Henian Club, a club which was initially formed in 2016. The club took part in the Pioneer League (U-15) in 2021. However, they were unable to secure the top four promotion spots to the Dhaka Third Division League. The club's striker Mehdi Hasan Minar finished as the tournaments top scorer with 15 goals. Eventually, the club was given permission to directly participate in the Third Division League from the 2022–23 season, after meeting the required criteria. Dhaka Third Division Football League
Dhaka Third Division Football League is the fifth-tier football league in Bangladesh, as well as the third and lowest league division in Dhaka. It was established in 1948 as the third-tier of the Dhaka League, while Bangladesh was still under Pakistani rule. Currently the five top-finishing teams in the Super League round are automatically promoted to the Dhaka Second Division Football League. While the bottom team in the two groups during the first phase, are relegated to the Bangladesh Pioneer Football League. A total eighteen teams compete in the league. 2022–23 Dhaka Third Division Football League (Bengali: ২০২২-২৩ ঢাকা তৃতীয় বিভাগ ফুটবল লিগ), officially known as Bashundhara Group Third Division (U-17) Football League 2022–23 due to sponsorship reasons and change of format, is the 2022–23 edition of the fifth-tier in the Bangladeshi football league system. The previous edition of the league was not held as the Bangladesh Football Federation had initially decided to shut it down and merge it with the Dhaka Second Division Football League, in September 2022. However, it was later decided that the Dhaka Third Division would continue, with a new format which will see it become an U-17 football league. Pioneer Football League ( ban, পাইওনিয়ার ফুটবল লীগ ), also known as the Bangladesh Pioneer Football League, is an age-level league and also the sixth-tier of Bangladeshi football organised by Bangladesh Football Federation. The semi-finalsits of the competition are promoted to the Dhaka Third Division Football League. As the tournament is considered to be the lowest level of Bangladeshi football, so the number of participants is unlimited as well as any club is able to send an application to participate in the tournament.
