Skullgirls
''Skullgirls'' is a 2D fighting game developed by Reverge Labs and published by Autumn Games. In ''Skullgirls'', players fight each other with teams of one, two, or three characters, attempting to knock out their opponents or have the most cumulative health when time runs out. The setting of the game revolves around the "Skull Heart", an artifact which grants wishes for women. If a wisher with an impure soul uses the Skull Heart, she is transformed into a monster known as the "Skullgirl". The game was first released through the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in April 2012, and received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the animation and gameplay mechanics, while criticizing its initial roster size and online multiplayer features. Development of post-release content faced numerous setbacks. Michiru Yamane
is a Japanese video game composer and pianist. Yamane's musical style draws on baroque, classical and rock traditions, with both Johann Sebastian Bach and Yellow Magic Orchestra as prominent influences. She is best known for her two decades of work at the gaming company Konami, with her compositions for the ''Castlevania'' series among her most recognized work. Yamane grew an interest in music at an early age, practicing on the electric organ and piano. She studied composition in college and began working as a composer for Konami in 1988. As a member of the Konami Kukeiha Club, she collaborated with other musicians on many Konami video games. Autumn Games is an American video game publisher based in New York City. The company was founded by Alex Collmer and Jason Donnell in 2007 with institutional sponsorship from Communications Equity Associates and Autumn Entertainment Partners. The company's first video game was ''Def Jam Rapstar''. which was nominated for awards in the annual Spike Video Game Awards The game was co-published by Autumn Games and Konami Digital Entertainment. Def Jam Rapstar was the result of a several-year publishing arrangement between Autumn Games and 4mm Games. In November 2011, the company released their second game, developed by Isopod Labs.
