Skeid
Skeid is a Norwegian alliance sports club from Nordre Åsen, Oslo. It has sections for association football (one for elite and one for grassroots football), Nordic skiing and bandy. General history The club was founded as ''IK Skeid'' on 5 December 1925. It was a merger between the two clubs ''Kristiania BK'' (founded 1 January 1915 as a merger of ''Njord'' and ''Oslo FK'') and ''SFK Frem'' (nicknamed ''Frem 14'', founded 9 April 1914 as a merger of ''Bjølsen FK'' and footballers in Thorshaug IF). Skeid now counts 1 January 1915 as its founding date. The club colors in ''Kristiania BK'' were red and blue, which are still used, whereas the yellow and black club colors of ''SFK Frem'' are found in the logo as well as the current team jerseys in the winter sports. Former sports in the club include ice hockey and orienteering. The club does not use ''IK Skeid'' anymore, often just Skeid or ''Allianseidrettslaget Skeid'' ("Alliance Sports Team Skeid"). Skeid Fotball
Skeid is a Norwegian football club from Oslo that currently plays in 1. divisjon ( OBOS-ligaen), the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. Its current home field is Nordre Åsen, after the club stopped playing at Bislett after the 2012 season. In past decades it has gained a reputation as a talent factory for the larger clubs in Norwegian football, and it has produced several players for the national team such as Daniel Braaten, Daniel Fredheim Holm, Omar Elabdellaoui and Mohammed Abdellaoue. Other notable players include Paul Miller. Skeid played in 1. divisjon in 2009 after a short stint in the 2. divisjon. They finished champions of the Second Group of 2. divisjon in 2008. Tippeligaen
Eliteserien () is a Norwegian professional league for association football clubs. At the top of the Norwegian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. Fair Play Ligaen
The Norwegian Second Division, also called 2. divisjon and often referred to as PostNord-ligaen for sponsorship reasons, is the third-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. There are 28 teams divided into two groups, and at the end of the season the winner of each group earns promotion to the second-highest division, 1. divisjon. The teams finishing in second place in their respective group will qualify for the promotion play-offs, where they will face each other. The winner will play against the 14th placed team in 1. divisjon for promotion. The bottom three teams in each group are relegated to 3. divisjon. 2. divisjon is the highest league a reserve team can participate in, and only reserve teams from the Eliteserien clubs (first tier) are allowed to enter. The 1999 Tippeligaen was the 55th completed season of top division football in Norway. Each team played 26 games with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Number thirteen and fourteen are relegated, number twelve had to play two qualification matches (home and away) against number three in the 1. divisjon (where number one and two were directly promoted) for the last spot. 2003 Norwegian Football Cup
The 2003 Norwegian Football Cup was the 98th edition of the Norwegian Football Cup. Rosenborg won their 9th Norwegian Championship title after defeating Bodø/Glimt in the final with the score 3–1. The final was played on Sunday 9 November at Ullevaal stadion in Oslo. Bodø/Glimt reached the final after beating Verdal, Mo, Tromsdalen, Ørn-Horten, Aalesund and Tromsø. Rosenborg reached the final after beating Buvik, Clausenengen, Lofoten, Lyn, Haugesund and Skeid. 2009 Norwegian First Division
The 2009 1. divisjon (referred to as Adeccoligaen for sponsorship reasons) was a Norwegian second-tier football season. The season began play on 5 April 2009 and will end on 1 November 2009. The club relegated from the Tippeligaen in 2008 was Ham-Kam. Sandnes Ulf and Hødd were relegated to the 2. divisjon in 2008 after finishing in fifteenth and sixteenth place respectively. Tromsdalen, Stavanger, Mjøndalen, and Skeid were promoted from the 2. divisjon in 2008. At the end of the season, a two-legged promotion playoff will be played between the 3rd, 4th, and 5th placed teams in the 1. divisjon and the 14th placed team in the Tippeligaen. Bislett Stadion
Bislett Stadium ( no, Bislett stadion) is a sports stadium in Oslo, Norway. Bislett is Norway's most well known sports arena internationally, with 15 speed skating world records and more than 50 track and field world records having been set here. The original stadium was demolished in 2004 and construction of a new stadium was completed by the summer of 2005. The New Bislett Stadium was designed by C.F. Møller Architects. History Bislett Stadium lies on the site of a 19th-century brick works, which was bought by the Municipality of Kristiania (Oslo) in 1898, and turned into a sports field in 1908. The merchant, speed skater, gymnast and sports organizer Martinus Lørdahl was instrumental in facilitating the construction of the first bleachers, begun in 1917 and completed in 1922 along with the new club house. The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon and OBOS-ligaen (named sponsor is property developer OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Each year, the top finishing teams in the 1. divisjon are promoted to the Eliteserien, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to 2. divisjon. 1. divisjon was previously known as 2. divisjon (1963–1990) and replaced regional league Landsdelsserien (1951–1962) after the latter was dissolved after the 1961–62 season. Voldsløkka Stadion
Voldsløkka Stadion is a sports stadium in Oslo, Norway. History It was the home ground of Oslo football team Skeid, and was used for Premier League matches in 1999. However, in 2007 it did not meet the requirements of First Division (second tier of Norwegian football) matches, so Skeid elected to play their home games at Bislett Stadion. Instead in 2007 Voldsløkka Stadion hosted matches of the Vålerenga B team, who resided in the Second Division (third tier). It has later been used by Oslo City FC. It has also been the temporary home ground of the American football team Oslo Vikings. The area was closed as a football stadium in 2007, and Skeid moved to Nordre Åsen. Frank Willy Olafsen (born 20 April 1944) is a Norwegian former football player, bandy player and ice hockey player. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality.
