Shrikhandi Bhittha or Bhitthamore is an Indian village in the Mithila region of Bihar, situated near the Indo-Nepal border, on the banks of the perennial Ratnawati (Raato) river. Geography It has a Border checkpoint at the crossing to Malibara, Jaleshwar, Nepal. It is about 30 kilometres away from its district headquarters Sitamarhi. National Highway 104 passes through Bhitthamore. Thus it is a gateway to Janakpur, Nepal and parts of Sitamarhi & Madhubani along the border side. Festivals The major festival of this area is Chhath Puja in which people offer prayers to Lord Sun. Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, Makar Sankranti, Eid al-Fitr and Christmas are celebrated. Sita (; ) also called as Janaki and Vaidehi is a Hindu goddess and the female protagonist of the Hindu epic, ''Ramayana''. Janaki Mandir ( ne, जानकी मन्दिर) is a Hindu temple in Janakpur, Nepal, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Sita. It is an example of mixed Hindu Nepali architecture Fully built in bright white and constructed in an area of 1,480 square metres (15,930 sq. feet) in a mixed style of and Hindu Kingdomship of ancient Nepal. Darbhanga Airport is a domestic airport and an Indian Air Force Station, serving Darbhanga, Bihar, India.
