Shoya Ichihashi
Shoya Ichihashi ( ja, 市橋 翔哉; born November 5, 1997) is a Japanese pair skater. With his skating partner, Miyu Yunoki, he is the 2022 Japanese national champion. With his former partner, Riku Miura, he has represented Japan at four ISU Championships. The two finished tenth at the 2018 Four Continents Championships in Taipei, Taiwan, and at the 2018 World Junior Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held March 15–19, 2017 in Taipei City, Taiwan (Chinese Taipei). Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Pair champions Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya / Harley Windsor became the first skaters representing Australia to win gold at an ISU Figure Skating Championships. The United States received gold in two disciplines, with Vincent Zhou winning the men's singles title and Rachel Parsons / Michael Parsons taking the ice dancing title. 2019 ISU World Team Trophy In Figure Skating
The 2019 ISU World Team Trophy is an international figure skating competition that was held from April 11–14, 2019 in Fukuoka, Japan. The top six International Skating Union members were invited to compete in a team format with points awarded based on skaters' placement. Participating countries selected two men's single skaters, two ladies' single skaters, one pair, and one ice dance entry for their team. Richard Stewart Addinsell (13 January 190414 November 1977) was an English composer, best known for film music, primarily his ''Warsaw Concerto'', composed for the 1941 film ''Dangerous Moonlight'' (also known under the later title ''Suicide Squadron''). Warsaw Concerto
The ''Warsaw Concerto'' is a short work for piano and orchestra by Richard Addinsell, written for the 1941 British film '' Dangerous Moonlight'', which is about the Polish struggle against the 1939 invasion by Nazi Germany. In performance it normally lasts just under ten minutes. The concerto is an example of programme music, representing both the struggle for Warsaw and the romance of the leading characters in the film. It became very popular in Britain during World War II. The concerto is written in imitation of the style of Sergei Rachmaninoff. It initiated a trend for similar short piano concertos in the Romantic style, which have been dubbed "tabloid concertos", or " Denham concertos" (the latter term coined by Steve Race). Muse are an English Rock music, rock band from Teignmouth, Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. Symphony
A symphony is an extended musical composition in Western classical music, most often for orchestra. Although the term has had many meanings from its origins in the ancient Greek era, by the late 18th century the word had taken on the meaning common today: a work usually consisting of multiple distinct sections or movements, often four, with the first movement in sonata form. Symphonies are almost always scored for an orchestra consisting of a string section (violin, viola, cello, and double bass), brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments which altogether number about 30 to 100 musicians. The free skating segment of figure skating, also called the free skate and the long program, is the second of two segments of competitions, skated after the short program. The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. 2018 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships
The 2018 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships were held in Taipei City, Taiwan on January 22–28, 2018. Medals were awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Qualification This competition is open to skaters from all non-European member nations of the International Skating Union. Skaters must have reached the age of 15 before July 1, 2017 to participate. The corresponding competition for European skaters is the 2018 European Figure Skating Championships.
