Shivadeva II
Shivadeva II (also spelled Sivadeva) was the son of Narendradeva and a king of the Licchavi dynasty who ruled Nepal in around 700 C.E. Reign Shivadeva's reign started from 685 C.E. and ended in 701 C.E. He was succeeded by his son Jayadeva II. Personal life He was married to Batsa Devi, the daughter of prince Bogvarma of Mankhari, and grand daughter of king Aditya Sen of Magadha. Nepal Mandala ( ne, नेपाल मण्डल) is an ancient confederation on the Indian subcontinent, marked by cultural, religious and political boundaries which lies in present-day central Nepal. Licchavi (also ''Lichchhavi'', ''Lichavi'') was a kingdom which existed in the Kathmandu Valley in modern-day Nepal from approximately 400 to 750 CE. The Licchavi clan originated from Vaishali, and conquered Kathmandu Valley. The Lichchhavis elected an administrator and representatives to rule them. The ruling period of this dynasty was called the Golden Period of Nepal. Shiva (; sa, शिव, lit=The Auspicious One, Śiva ), also known as Mahadeva (; ɐɦaːd̪eːʋɐ, or Hara, is one of the principal deities of Hinduism.
