Shironet
shironet.mako.co.il, also known as Shironet (), is an Israeli website that presents the lyrics of Hebrew songs. It is the largest of its kind. It also presents lyrics of non-Hebrew songs, trivia puzzles, ringtones, video clips, general information about Israeli musicians, pictures of Israeli musicians, ads of concerts, and internet forums. Shironnet complies with copyright laws and pays ACUM (the association of Israeli song creators that represents poets, composers, and lyricists) for each entry to a lyrics webpage or a video clip webpage, in order to pass the payments to the artists. History Shironet was established in 2002 as a " pirate website" that presented lyrics without paying for them. However, since 2003 it works legally. In 2003, Israeli composer and lyricist Naomi Shemer had Shironet remove all her songs' lyrics. After many requests from the website, the lyrics were added again by her heirs in 2006. Assaf Amdursky (; born January 30, 1971) is an Israeli singer, songwriter and music producer. Biography Assaf Amdursky was born in Tel Aviv. He is the son of folksinger Benny Amdursky. Amdursky was married for 12 years to singer-songwriter Michal Amdursky, who came out with a solo album after her divorce. Their daughter Milla was born in 2002.His family member (his uncle's granddaughter) is the singer Keren Peles. Music career Amdursky plays guitar, keyboard, percussion, bass, harmonica and trumpet and feels "equally comfortable with rock, pop and dance music." Naomi Shemer (; July 13, 1930 – June 26, 2004) was a leading Israeli musician and songwriter, hailed as the "first lady of Israeli song and poetry." Her song " Yerushalayim Shel Zahav" ("Jerusalem of Gold"), written in 1967, became an unofficial second anthem after Israel won the Six-Day War that year and annexed Jerusalem. Early life Naomi Sapir () was born to Rivka and Meir Sapir (Sapirov), Lithuanian Jewish immigrants to Palestine, in Kvutzat Kinneret, a kibbutz in Mandatory Palestine that her parents helped to establish.
