Shifa Thowfyq commonly spelled as Shifa Thaufeeq (11 July 1970) is a Maldivian singer and a recipient of five Gaumee Film Awards, three Aafathis Awards, one Maldives Film Award. She holds the record of maximum number of awards as a playback singer in Maldives. Early life and career Shifa Thaufeeq was born on 11 July 1970. ''Mila Handhuvaru'' is a 1998 Maldivian drama film edited and directed by Hamid Ali. Produced by Hussain Rasheed under Farivaa Films, the film stars Mariyam Nisha and Mohamed Hussain in pivotal roles. Premise Adamfulhu (Amjad Ibrahim) disowned his only child, Sameem, when he married an under-privileged woman whom he despised. They give birth to a daughter before the couple was killed in a boat crash, leaving their daughter, Mariyam (Mariyam Nisha), and her aunt as two of the few survivors. ''Amaanaaiy'' is a 1998 Maldivian romantic drama film directed by Mahdi Ahmed. Produced by Mohamed Niyaz under Eternal Pictures, the film stars Ali Khalid, Fathimath Rameeza, Jamsheedha Ahmed and Iujaz Hafiz in pivotal roles. The film was released on 4 November 1998. Umar Zahir (30 May 1971) is a Maldivian singer. Career Born in GA. Dhaandhoo, Adam initiated his career as a musician by joining a local band to take part in some of the occasional stage shows held in his island and atoll. He rose to prominence in the year 1999, where he released the studio albums ''Husreethi'' and ''Nadhuru'' which all went to become a huge success. This led to Mukhthar receiving several offers from music directors and his voice was heard in several albums released during the year 2000 to 2006.
