Chetsun Sherab Jungnay
Chetsun Sherab Jungnay () was an eleventh-century Tibetan Abbot and scholar who founded the Shalu Monastery 22 km south of Shigatse in Tibet. Dolpopa Sherab Gyaltsen
Dölpopa Shérap Gyeltsen () (1292–1361), known simply as Dölpopa, was a Tibetan Buddhist master. Known as "The Buddha from Dölpo," a region in modern Nepal, he was the principal exponent of the shentong teachings, and an influential member of the Jonang tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Biography Dölpopa was born in Dölpo. In 1309, when he was seventeen, he ran away from home to seek the Buddhist teachings, first in Mustang and then in Tibet. In 1314, when he was twenty-two years old, Dölpopa received full monastic ordination from the famous abbot of Choelung Monastery, Sönam Trakpa (1273–1352), and made a vow at the time to never eat slaughtered meat again. In 1321, Dölpopa visited Jonang Monastery at Jomonang (which was later destroyed during the Cultural Revolution) for the first time. Khenchen Palden Sherab
Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche () (10 May 1938 – 19 June 2010), also known as "Khen Rinpoche," was a teacher, a scholar, a lama, and a Dzogchen master in the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. He was considered by Penor Rinpoche to be one of the most learned living Nyingma scholars. Palden Sherab founded the Orgyen Samye Chokhor Ling Nunnery, the first nunnery in Deer Park (Sarnath). Born in Kham, Tibet, Palden Sherab escaped invading Chinese forces in 1960 to arrive in India and join other monastic leaders to collect and salvage Tibetan Buddhist teachings carried by the exile community. He was appointed the Nyingma professor at the Central University of Tibetan Studies in 1967. Kunzang Sherab
Kunzang (1445 – c. 1479), in full Kuntu Zangpo (), was a prince of the Rinpungpa Dynasty that wielded power in Tsang (West Central Tibet). He was the second son of Norzang, the founder of the power of the family, and the Phagmodrupa princess Yeshe Tsogyal. At the time when his father died in 1466, Tsang was dominated by the arms of the Rinpungpa. Kunzang took over as the senior member of the line, his elder brother Upasika having died early. He received investiture as ''dsongpon'' (lord) of the Rinpung fief from the formal ruler of Central Tibet, Kunga Lekpa of the Phagmodrupa dynasty. Dasho Sherub Gyeltshen ( dz, དྲག་ཤོས་ཤེས་རབ་རྒྱལ་མཚན།; born ) is a Bhutanese politician who served as the Minister for Home and Cultural Affairs from November 2018 to 6 May 2021 when he resigned. He was a member of the National Assembly of Bhutan from October 2018 to May 6, 2021. Career Gyeltshen worked with Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs for 11 years. On 24 April 1991, he was appointed as Dzongdag for Lhuntse District and also served as the Dzongdag for Samtse District and Thimphu District.
