Shen Mengyu (; born 19 August 2001) is a Chinese professional Women's association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for Women's Championship (England), Women's Championship club London City Lionesses and the China women's national football team, China national team. Club career Born in Shanghai in 2001, she played for Shanghai Shengli before joining Celtic F.C. Women, Celtic in the Scottish Women's Premier League at the age of 19,becoming the first Chinese woman to play in Scotland. In her first season, Shen helped Celtic win the 2021–22 Scottish Women's Premier League Cup and the 2021–22 Scottish Women's Cup, the first time the ''Hoops'' achieved the double knockout trophy success. The Scottish Women's Cup is the national knockout cup competition for women's football in Scotland. First held in 1970–71, the competition is owned and managed by Scottish Women's Football (SWF), an affiliated body of the Scottish Football Association (SFA).
