Shawnee High School is a public high school near Springfield, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Clark-Shawnee Local School District. The high school offers college preparatory classes along with many different programs in sports, band, drama, foreign languages, and music. Students and alumni are known as "The Shawnee Braves." The high school campus is located on East Possum Road in Springfield, Ohio. Springfield is located about 50 miles west of Columbus, Ohio, and about 35 miles east of Dayton, Ohio. The schools that generally feed into Shawnee include Possum, Reid, and Rockway Elementary and Middle Schools in Clark County. Shawnee
The Shawnee are an Algonquian-speaking indigenous people of the Northeastern Woodlands. In the 17th century they lived in Pennsylvania, and in the 18th century they were in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, with some bands in Kentucky and Alabama. By the 19th century, they were forcibly removed to Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and ultimately Indian Territory, which became Oklahoma under the 1830 Indian Removal Act. Today, Shawnee people are enrolled in three federally recognized tribes, all headquartered in Oklahoma: the Absentee-Shawnee Tribe of Indians, Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma, and Shawnee Tribe. Miss USA 2021
Miss USA 2021 was the 70th Miss USA pageant, held on November 29, 2021, at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The competition was hosted by Zuri Hall and Patrick Ta, while Nicole Adamo served as a lounge host. Asya Branch of Mississippi crowned her successor Elle Smith of Kentucky at the end of the event. This was Kentucky's first title in 15 years. Smith is the third consecutive African American to win the title, and the fifth one in six years. Smith went on to represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2021 pageant, placing in the top 10. The scheduling for the succeeding year's pageant that Smith would serve the pageant for ten months and four days as one of the shortest reigning titleholders in the pageant. Ellen Elizabeth "Elle" Smith (born June 19, 1998) is an American model, journalist, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2021. William Kevin Donley (born July 4, 1951) is an American football coach and former player. In the spring of 2021 (a delayed start to their 2020 season due to the COVID pandemic), Donley began his 42nd championship season as a head coach in addition to the 1997 season which was devoted to establishing the football program at the University of Saint Francis (Indiana), University of Saint Francis. Catholic Central School is a private, Roman Catholic school in Springfield, Ohio. Part of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Catholic Central provides education for grades PreK-12 at three campuses.
