Shamila Shirzad
Shamila Shirzad ( fa, شمیلا شیرزاد; born 2006) is an Iranian actress. She rose to prominence for her performance as Zahra in the 2020 acclaimed drama film ''Sun Children'' which was shortlisted at the 93rd Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. Early life Shamila Shirzad was born in 2006 as the first child of an Afghan family from the Hazara ethnic group in Tehran, she has only one younger brother Abulfazl Shirzad, and her parents are immigrants from Kabul to Tehran. Hazara People
The Hazaras ( fa, , Həzārə; haz, , Āzərə) are an ethnic group and the principal component of the population of Afghanistan, native to, and primarily residing in the Hazaristan (Hazarajat) region in central Afghanistan and generally scattered throughout Afghanistan. They are one of the largest ethnic groups in Afghanistan, and are also significant minority groups in neighboring Pakistan, mostly in Quetta, and as well as in Iran. Fajr International Film Festival
Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بینالمللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Majid Majidi ( fa, مجید مجیدی, ; born 17 April 1959) is an Iranian film director, producer, and screenwriter, who started his film career as an actor. In his films, Majidi has touched on many themes and genres and has won numerous international awards.
