Shakti District
Sakti district is one of the four new district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India announced by Bhupesh Baghel on 15th August 2021. It is carved out from Janjgir-Champa district. The district was formerly the princely state of Sakti, which joined Bilaspur district after Independence. The district is located in the Mahanadi river valley, with several hill ranges in the south of the district. The Mahanadi forms the southern boundary of the district. Demographics At the time of the 2011 census, Sakti district had a population of 653,036, of which 61,508 (9.42%) live in urban areas. Sakti district has a sex ratio of 1004 females to 1000 males. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes make up 148,386 (22.72%) and 104,296 (15.97%) of the population respectively. List Of Districts Of Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh, a state of India, has 33 administrative districts. At the time of separation from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh originally had 16 districts. Two new districts: Bijapur and Narayanpur were carved out on May 11, 2007 and nine new districts on Jan 1, 2012. The new districts have been created by carving out the existing districts to facilitate more targeted, focused and closer administration. Janjgir–Champa District
Janjgir–Champa district is a district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The district headquarters of the district Janjgir–Champa, Janjgir, is the city of Maharaja Jajawalya Dev of the Kalachuri dynasty. Earlier a part of the Bilaspur district, Jangir was carved out in 1998 to a separate district of its own, and ran to a political controversy about the name of the freshly minted district, which it carries to date as the name "Janjgir–Champa". Sakti State
Sakti State was one of the princely states of India during the British Raj. It belonged to the Chhattisgarh States Agency, which later became the Eastern States Agency. The capital was Sakti town, which had 1,791 inhabitants, according to the 1901 Census of India. Today, it is located in the state of Chhattisgarh.
