Session Road
Session Road is a six-lane major road in Baguio, Philippines. The entire road forms part of the National Route 231 (N231) of the Philippine highway network. Route description Session Road is the main thoroughfare of Baguio in the Philippines and is the main hub of what is called the Baguio Central Business District. Lower Session Road The Lower Session Road extends eastward from Magsaysay Avenue (opposite the Plaza or kilometer zero and Malcolm Square) running through the BCBD until the intersections of Father Carlu Street (towards the Baguio Cathedral and Upper Bonifacio Street) and Governor Pack Road. This is the area where businesses are located, among others banks, shops, restaurants, bakeries, hotels, newsstands, boutiques, and studios. Baguio
Baguio ( , ), officially the City of Baguio ( ilo, Siudad ti Baguio; fil, Lungsod ng Baguio), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Philippines. It is known as the "Summer Capital of the Philippines", owing to its cool climate since the city is located approximately above mean sea level, often cited as in the Luzon tropical pine forests ecoregion, which also makes it conducive for the growth of mossy plants, orchids and pine trees, to which it attributes its other moniker as the "City of Pines". Dean Conant Worcester
Dean Conant Worcester, D.Sc., FRGS (October 1, 1866 – May 2, 1924) was an American zoologist, public official, and authority on the Philippines. He was born at Thetford, Vermont, and educated at the University of Michigan (A.B., 1889). He first went to the Philippines in 1887 as a junior member of a scientific expedition, and built a controversial career in the early American colonial government beginning in 1899 based upon his experience in the country. He was fiercely opposed to Philippine independence and a firm believer in the colonial mission. He served as the influential Secretary of the Interior of the Philippine Islands until 1913 when he began focusing on his business interests. Naguilian Road
President Elpidio Quirino Highway (often shortened as Quirino Highway), formerly known and still referred to as Naguilian Road and Baguio–Bauang Road, is a Philippine major highway in northern Luzon that runs from the city of Baguio in the province of Benguet to the municipality of Bauang in the province of La Union. The highway traverses the Benguet municipalities of Tuba and Sablan, and the La Union towns of Burgos, Naguilian, and Bauang. The highway serves as a major access route to Baguio. It is primarily used by motorists coming from the port city of San Fernando as well as the northern provinces of the Ilocos Region to get to the city. Pack, who was appointed Military Governor of Benguet on November 15, 1901, and served as the civilian Governor of Mountain Province from 1909 to 1915.
