Sergey Georgiev
Sergey Georgiev (Bulgarian: Сергей Георгиев; born 15 May 1992) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who currently plays as a winger. Career Youth career Georgiev began his football career with Levski Sofia, but joined Elit Sofia as an 8-year-old in 2000. He left Elit for Spanish side CD Canillas at the age of 17 in 2009. PFC Bansko On 23 March 2012 Sergey joined the Bulgarian B Group side team Bansko. PFC Montana In June 2014 Georgiev moved from Bansko to the other B Group team PFC Montana. On 25 September 2014, he scored the winning goal during extra time in PFC Montana's surprising 2:1 victory over CSKA Sofia in the 1/16 finals of the Bulgarian Cup. Sofia
Sofia ( ; bg, София, Sofiya, ) is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. It is situated in the Sofia Valley at the foot of the Vitosha mountain in the western parts of the country. 2015–16 A Group
The 2015–16 A Group was the 92nd season of the top division of the Bulgarian football league system, and 68th since a league format was adopted for the national competition of A Group as a top tier of the pyramid. The season has started on 17 July 2015 and is expected to end in May 2016. The league is contested by ten teams. Ludogorets Razgrad were the defending champions, and successfully defended the title after Levski Sofia's home loss against Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the 29th round. The title is Ludogorets' fifth consecutive and overall. The 2016–17 First Professional Football League is the 93rd season of the top division of the Bulgarian football league system, the 69th since a league format was adopted for the national competition of A Group as a top tier of the pyramid and also the inaugural season of the First Professional Football League, which decides the Bulgarian champion. The season is the first with a new league structure and strict financial criteria where 14 clubs play each other home and away, until the league is split up in championship and relegation playoffs. The 2014–15 B Group was the 59th season of the Bulgarian B Football Group, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system. On 21 June the executive committee of Bulgarian Football Union confirmed that the number of teams for the new season will remain 14. The teams play twice against each other, once home and once away, as it was the previous season. At the end of this season again there are just 2 teams promoted to the top tier of Bulgarian football (A PFG), but since there are 4 teams relegated from the top league so as to reduce the number of teams in it, there will be 4 teams relegated from B PFG at the end of the season as well, in order to keep the number of teams in the division 14. The 2012–13 B Group was the 58th season of the Bulgarian B Football Group, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system. It started on 19 August 2012 and finished in May 2013. On 15 June the Executive Committee of Bulgarian Football Union decided to reduce further the number of teams due licensing problems in most of the clubs and reuniting the teams into one league. The new format will consist of 14 teams, playing twice against each other, once home and once away. A group of 16 teams was intended at first, but two teams decided to drop off the competition before the start of the season. In contrast to the previous season, there was be no 'promotion play-off', a decision made by the BFU to reduce the number of teams at A PFG.
