2012–13 B Group
The 2012–13 B Group was the 58th season of the Bulgarian B Football Group, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system. It started on 19 August 2012 and finished in May 2013. On 15 June the Executive Committee of Bulgarian Football Union decided to reduce further the number of teams due licensing problems in most of the clubs and reuniting the teams into one league. The new format will consist of 14 teams, playing twice against each other, once home and once away. A group of 16 teams was intended at first, but two teams decided to drop off the competition before the start of the season. In contrast to the previous season, there was be no 'promotion play-off', a decision made by the BFU to reduce the number of teams at A PFG. Instead, there were just two teams, promoting to A PFG, and 4 teams relegating from to the top league. Second Professional Football League (Bulgaria)
The Bulgarian Second Professional Football League ( bg, Втора професионална футболна лига, Vtora Profesionalna Futbolna Liga), also known as Second League ( bg, Втора Лига) or Vtora liga, is the second level of the Bulgarian football league system, below First League and above the Third League. Sixteen teams take part in the league, each playing twice against all the other, once home and once away. Most matches are played on Saturdays and Sundays. The league is administered by the Bulgarian Professional Football League. In 2016, the B Group's name was rebranded to Second Professional Football League. Competition format A team receives 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. FC Malesh
FC Malesh Mikrevo is a Bulgarian association football club based in the village of Mikrevo, Blagoevgrad Province, which currently competes in the A RFG Blagoevgrad, the fourth tier of the Bulgarian football league system. The club was established in 1936. The biggest success in the club's history came in 2010, when the team earned promotion to the Bulgarian B PFG by decisively winning the South-West V AFG. PFC Nesebar
Nesebar ( bg, Несебър) is a Bulgarian municipal ( bg, общински, pronounced obshtinski) association football club based in Nesebar, Burgas Province, that competes in the Third League, the third tier of Bulgarian football. Nesebar have played in the second tier or below for the majority of the club’s history, up until 2004 when the team promoted to A Group for the first time. Their spell in the Bulgarian elite lasted only one season however, as they were relegated. Nesebar is yet to return to the first tier. PFC Dobrudzha Dobrich
FC Dobrudzha ( bg, ФК Добруджа) is a Bulgarian football club based in Dobrich, that competes in the Second League, the second tier of Bulgarian football. It plays its home matches at Stadion Druzhba with a capacity of 12,500 seats, and its team colours are green and yellow. The team is named after the Dobruja region, a prominent agricultural area in Northeast Bulgaria. FC Dorostol 2003
FC Dorostol ( bg, ФК Доростол) is a Bulgarian football club based in Silistra, who currently plays at the North-East Third League, the third division of Bulgarian football. Its home stadium "Louis Ayer" has a capacity of 12 000 seats. Club colors are blue and white. The club was officially founded in 1945. However it exists informally from 1902, which makes it the oldest Bulgarian football club. History The original founding year of Dorostol is considered to be the year 1902. The club was originally affiliated with the Bulgarian school in Silistra, whose students founded the sports society "Strela", meaning arrow in Bulgarian. Their first kit was black, which was also the color of the uniforms of the students from the school. From 1903 to 1909, the gymnastics teacher at the school was Louis Eyer, a Swiss gymnasist. Profesionalen futbolen klub Svetkavitsa 1922 ( bg, Професионален футболен клуб „Светкавица 1922“; en, Svetkavitsa 1922 Professional Football Club) is a Bulgarian football club based in Targovishte, which currently competes in Bulgaria's third tier, the North-East Third League. They play their home matches at the local Dimitar Burkov Stadium. Svetkavitsa have competed in the second division for a record 49 seasons, playing more second-flight league games than any other Bulgarian team. FC Kaliakra Kavarna ( bg, ФК Калиакра Каварна) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Kavarna, which currently competes in the A RFG Dobrich, the fourth tier of Bulgarian football. Founded in 1922 as Kaliakra Sport Club, the club spent most of its history in amateur football before making a rapid ascent to the second-flight of Bulgarian football in 1980. In 2010, the team managed to promote to the A Group for the first time. Their spell in the top flight lasted two seasons, ending in relegation in 2012.
