Sentinel Mountain is an 8,245-foot-elevation (2,513 meter) summit in Glacier County, Montana, United States. Description Sentinel Mountain is located south of the Canada–United States border in the Belly River area of Glacier National Park. It is situated in the Lewis Range, seven miles northwest of landmark Chief Mountain, and approximately 15 miles east of the Continental Divide. Precipitation runoff from the mountain drains into tributaries of the Belly River. Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises nearly above the North Fork Belly River in one mile. The mountain's toponym was officially adopted in 1929 by the United States Board on Geographic Names. Bear Mountain () is located in the northern Lewis Range, Glacier National Park in the U.S. state of Montana. Cosley Lake, followed by Glenns Lake to the southwest of the mountain. Sofa Mountain
Sofa Mountain is a 2,515-meter (8,251-foot) summit located in Waterton Lakes National Park, in Alberta, Canada. It is part of the Lewis Range which is a subset of the Canadian Rockies, and is the easternmost mountain in the Canadian Rockies, as well as the park. Chief Mountain Border Crossing
The Chief Mountain Border Crossing connects the town of Babb, Montana with Pincher Creek, Alberta on the Canada–US border. Montana Highway 17 on the American side joins Alberta Highway 6 on the Canadian side, creating the only road border crossing within the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.
